The arrest was made on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at around 10:30 a.m., when authorities learned the fugitive was in the area of Nardozzie Place in New Rochelle, according to Captain J. Collins Coyne.
A vehicle connected to the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Nana Gyapong of McLeansville, North Carolina, was soon found at the LA Fitness parking lot at 75 Nardozzi Pl. There, Gyapong was arrested without incident and charged as a fugitive from justice, a felony, Coyne said.
Gyapong had been wanted on a full extradition warrant out of Jefferson County, Alabama for two counts of first-degree human trafficking, according to Coyne.
