Fugitive Wanted For Human Trafficking Nabbed At Gym In Westchester: Police

A 25-year-old fugitive wanted in another state on human trafficking charges was caught at a gym in Westchester, police announced. 

The arrest happened at the LA Fitness in New Rochelle at 75 Nardozzi Pl., police said.

The arrest was made on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at around 10:30 a.m., when authorities learned the fugitive was in the area of Nardozzie Place in New Rochelle, according to Captain J. Collins Coyne. 

A vehicle connected to the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Nana Gyapong of McLeansville, North Carolina, was soon found at the LA Fitness parking lot at 75 Nardozzi Pl. There, Gyapong was arrested without incident and charged as a fugitive from justice, a felony, Coyne said.

Gyapong had been wanted on a full extradition warrant out of Jefferson County, Alabama for two counts of first-degree human trafficking, according to Coyne.
